The original Käthe Kruse Towel Doll with the knots goes back to Käthe Kruse's very first doll that she made in 1905. She made it as a Christmas present for her daughter Maria out of a knotted towel, some sand and a potato as head. The hand stutched doll head is filled with polyester. The embroidery of a the little deer coordinates with the Resi series of baby products. Machine washable. 12-inches.
